As we take stock of an event gone by – part gratifying, part challenging – as all events borne out of one’s labour of love tend to be, it is humbling to note that there are many stakeholders who go to make an event meaningful and vibrant.
In this season of cheer and goodwill, we take the opportunity to thank them all:
- To Cumulus Board Members and its Secretariat, for supporting us and for being present in strength
- To our esteemed and Invited Keynote and Vision Speakers, Mentors for the Workshops and Chairs for the different sessions, for lending the event incredible thought leadership
- To our Selected Paper Presenters, for bringing intellectual strength to the subject matter (Water and Sustainability for Design) and academic credibility by demonstrating through their diligence that academic institutions can be the flag bearers of our global economy
- To the Discussants of the White Paper Recommendations as well as the Cumulus Working Groups, for investing their passion in design for a future cause
- To the Registered Participants, not least for representing at least 32 countries, for championing by sheer participation and presence, and by asking thought provoking questions
- To the Sponsors and Supporting Partners, for believing in design as a change agent
- To our participating colleagues, our beloved Staff from IDC IITB, our untiring Project Staff from the D’Source Group, and our delightful Student Volunteers – all of them working on a singular motivation driven by a charter of faith: that, the organizers needed their support
As one or the other stakeholders from above, we do hope that you made new friends, networked and built connections, created good experiences of design, and have fond memories to take back with you.

The next in the series of conferences connected with 'In a Planet of Our Own' will focus on Energy (just as this one was with focus on Water), and is scheduled to be held in the year 2018.
